Clay Beehive is a ceramic studio located in beautiful North East Victoria - very close to our Beechworth store. Maker Mel Eliades lives and works on small acreage, with a large garden full of herbs and flowers, close to a river, looking out onto magnificent hundred-year-old river red gums.

Mel is an avid photographer and bee lover. She loves being in nature, her biggest source of inspiration. Her functional ceramic pieces reflect the landscape, the rivers, the trees, the sky, the textures and the colours of the beauty around her.

Details

These dainty handmade platters have a smooth, matte finish. They are hand-formed and hand-decorated in various ways. The base has been left unglazed and is sanded. These platters make a perfect little cheese board, loaded with your favorite cheese and biscuits or alternatively, some delicious freshly cut fruits or sweet treats. They make a stunning gift when on their own or grouped.
