A gentle & very feminine shape from Gil Fox. The rounded crown and softly curving brim are worked in a fine spiral weave, with small openings scattered through it that give the hat a light, airy feel. The brim dips and turns as it goes, finished with a folded edge that holds its relaxed, unstructured line.
Set at one side is a millinery corsage: a full flower with long, narrow petals, clusters of tiny blossoms, delicate stamens and a single leaf, gathered with a soft fabric bow.
The openings in the weave and the easy, irregular shape of the brim are part of how each hat is made. Every one is individual.
