Clover is a hat by UK hat maker Gil Fox. Its crown is gently flat-topped with softly rounded edges, and it's worked in a fine herringbone braid that spirals out from the centre. A wide grosgrain ribbon wraps around the base of the crown and ties in a knotted bow at the side. One tail of the bow falls across the brim and the other is cut short.
The brim curves up and rolls unevenly around the hat, dipping at the front and lifting at the back and sides. Its raw edge has been left to fray into a soft fringe of loose fibres. The neat ribbon against that undone edge gives Clover a relaxed, lived-in charm.
