if you truly want to understand the concept of an interconnected universe, just look at the tiny coral polyp. This marine in vertebrae, just a few centimeters in length, interconnects and builds a colony, secreting calcium carbonate to form a hard skeleton that becomes a beautiful reef housing thousands of species of marine and plant life. Slowly it grows over millions of years to protect the ocean bed from getting washed away.
