This blouse is a statement piece and perfect for a special occasion with a pair of black pants or skirt. I was worried it would be too much on me as I am a bigger girl and sometimes look like a birthday cake if I have too many trimmings. But the gentle fall of the shoulders, and the drape of the linen means this still suits me despite the enormous bow. It just gives a luxe look, with a touch of retro or vintage appeal, but the colouration gives it a seriousness that stops it being too playful. One thing I did not anticipate was the collaring. Due to the large bow, the collar at the rear can be turned up to create a high priest collar look at the back, or folded to the tie. It would look so good on someone with a long elegant neck. That I don't have, but I still feel amazingly beautiful when I wear it. Again, although I'm an XL I could easily size down to a L in this piece, as I cannot wear extremely loose garments and suit something semi-fitted.
